controls -can I modify keyboard?

I used wasd and it worked.. than on mouse m2 is speed. IDK what button is for speed on keyboard. Can I modify my controls in any way? Why I can do it on controller but not on keyboard?

even on pad I can't remap buttons, is it only the for the demo or the game also?
also it's strange that the timer reset when we are going back to checkpoint, is there another chrono somewhere?

idk the question was on demo run. i played on Steam deck and could not figure that out. Then on PC it was a bit better.
