the thing that will determine whether you like LM will be if you can handle the camera - it's a make or break for most people with the lack of a chase view really turning some people off
if you don't mind the camera - and I happen to like it as a refreshing change - then there's a lot of beautiful content
initially you'll be racing to beat the clock and unlock new bikes and gear, balancing speed with crashes on each stage. As you get more into it you'll probably do more free-styling, trying to find the quickest way to the bottom without stages and checkpoints
the true joy comes from finding a new shortcut that shaves seconds off your PB on a stage
I think it's worth the full price, and for a little more you can get another mountain as DLC
About results: I didn't play very long this game, first 12+ hours was learning and finding best bike, but from third mountain on I tried seriously (still only around 1 hour per trail) making good times. And playing with mouse gave me 8 results between 84th and 26th place in overall classification for speedruns with checkpoints. At 8 most difficult tracks imho. Game is really for everyone, but its a very sportslike experience, demands concentration and great patience.
I love it too. But I said so many times "F*ck" in my native language last few days I won't repeat this very often.
