The .b01 is an automatic backup, used as fallback in case the savegame get corrupted in any way. So normally this gets created but not read at all, so dont worry about that one.
However there are is one savegame which is stored in the "Steam Cloud" and one which is stored only locally (normally they should be in sync, Steam Cloud has the priority). You need to make sure to change the one in the Cloud folder...
The base folder should be this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[YOUR USER ID?]\711540
In the subfolder "remote" is the actual savegame, while in the base folder there is a remotecache.vdf which has to be edited. I am sure there is a good tutorial out there how to edit this to make the local copy the "most recent" one.
Hi, may I ask how and where you locate the saves files from the xbox app? Location of the files in windows that is.
I've just done it and have written a step by step article for anyone who wants to do this: https://wpguru.co.uk/2022/11/how-to-transfer-lonely-mountains-downhill-saves-from-xbox-game-pass-to-steam/
