Hi, initially I thought that too. But unlocking trail 3 from the first mountain requires a time challenge in trail 2. This first one can still be beaten after a few tries, but probably the next ones will be harder.
I just wanted to explore the mounatins... Playing in the Windows Store.
OP : you have to practice and never forget to explore. There can be a lot of hidden shortcuts on the maps. Some can help you save around 10 sec between 2 checkpoints. I'm not a pro gamer and there is only one free ride I still have not finished. It's doable. Do not despair.
You can chose which ones you want to do. And the ones that require a certain bike, you can do later on, when you have that bike. Also they are all for cosmetics - to open new maps and parts for bikes you need to do just the beginner challenges.
I found that the time challenges are easyer when you learn all the shortcuts and you use the right bike. Some shortcuts have huge drops, some have offroad driving. Just learn the map and chose the right bike for the challenge.
My suggestion is to open the maps, then do the beginner challenges but only for parts so that you can unlock more bikes, then when you have more bikes you can start picking for the harder ones.
