High difficulty, does everyone struggles too ?
Hi !

This game is really great and fun, I really love it.

But I'm somehow frustrated.

The free rides are kind of a hell to me. I'm at the third race of the first mountain, and I just can't seem to succeed to do it entirely without any crash.
I'm probably just not skilled, but I have about 200 crashes just on this.

Also I just can't imagine doing the same at night (I already struggle doing the very first race at night time) in free ride too.

And the special challenges like doing 1:50 with less than 7 crashes with the peacebreaker seems totally impossible to me. I unlocked the peacebreaker as my first bike but just crashing less than 7 times while doing something like 2:30 is already difficult to me.

And now I'm blocked with only free rides to do, I don't really want to go to the second mountain without finishing it all.

Just a question, is this intended to be done 100% before the second mountain, or is it supposed to be hard challenges for when you finished the game ?

Also for the players, did you succeed doing these ? How many time did it take you (or how many tries, no need to be very exact) ?

Thanks very much in advance for any answers.

Believe it or not, all the expert challenges are achievable. I've done them all fair and square and yes, you have to practice a lot. My recommendation is to make sure you unlock a bike you like. Don't unlock Javelin as your first bike, you'll regret it. I unlocked Boar and that was a great decision. Geronimo is the most forgiving especially with lines and drops. Free ride isn't that bad, just use your brakes. Remember, practice makes perfect. Do Freeride slow at first. Then increase speed. If you always try to go as fast as you can you'll always stay frustrated. Enjoy the ride!
Is there any way to just unlock all the mountain and roam free instead of having to complete challenges to unlock the levels?

You unlock levels and trails simply by avoiding 20 or more crashes. If you just take it easy and explore the main line carefully you can unlock all of the maps easily. You have to ride every trail slowly first anyways so unlocking levels should happen naturally.

Hi, initially I thought that too. But unlocking trail 3 from the first mountain requires a time challenge in trail 2. This first one can still be beaten after a few tries, but probably the next ones will be harder.

I just wanted to explore the mounatins... Playing in the Windows Store.

The difficulty grade is just right in my opinion. Not easy, but certainly not too difficult. Once you know the trails you will discover more and more 'short cuts'. Nailing those fast lines was very satisfying in the end, just like real mountainbiking... :lunar2019coolpig:

Geronimo is my favourite, it just encourages you to go nuts - and really explore off the beaten path.

I really love the Trailblazer, it is really a mix of the others. Faster than the Geronimo offtrack, but less forgiving on high jumps. Yeah, I think the Trailblazer is my overall favorite.
OP : you have to practice and never forget to explore. There can be a lot of hidden shortcuts on the maps. Some can help you save around 10 sec between 2 checkpoints. I'm not a pro gamer and there is only one free ride I still have not finished. It's doable. Do not despair.

optional difficulties would give it much fun. I'd like to play "casual mode" which keeps me from death, free to do any crazy moves with full joy.

You don't have to do all the challenges in one run.

You can chose which ones you want to do. And the ones that require a certain bike, you can do later on, when you have that bike. Also they are all for cosmetics - to open new maps and parts for bikes you need to do just the beginner challenges.

I found that the time challenges are easyer when you learn all the shortcuts and you use the right bike. Some shortcuts have huge drops, some have offroad driving. Just learn the map and chose the right bike for the challenge.

My suggestion is to open the maps, then do the beginner challenges but only for parts so that you can unlock more bikes, then when you have more bikes you can start picking for the harder ones.
