No episode 3 coming out to finish of Miss Fishers story!!!!

So according to the developer there will be no episode to finish of Miss Fishers adventure!! :(

As stated by the dev on another thread -

Sadly it's not looking possible at this time as sales were too low across iOS, Android and Steam to fund another episode. "

Hey all. It's sad to see the negative posts here. We're as disappointed as you are that we can't make episode 3 and beyond, but the simple truth is that it not only costs money to develop these games, but we also need to know that people will be there to buy the games when they are released. Despite spending a lot of time and love crafting the two Miss Fisher episodes (we really did fall in love with the TV show), it sadly never found a sustainable audience for us.

We designed both episodes 1 and 2 to be stand-alone (just in case this happened), containing a singular murder mystery in each, so they are self-contained games in themselves. Despite the overall series arc storyline not seeing a conclusion, the two episodes and their storylines are strong enough to stand on their own and we're happy with that.

If you bought the two episodes, thanks for joining us on Phryne's adventures. We're really sad we can't join her on one more."

So sadly even though the parts/chapters that are there are complete the game itself doesnt tell a whole and complete story so if you haven't allready bought the game yet (And it is good though by the way..............just not a complete experience!!) why bother as like the dev said "We're really sad we can't join her on one more" which means there are no more parts coming "FULL STOP" so just like me you'll never sadly find out what happens at the end............EVVVVVVVVVVVVVVER!!!!

Well you are being pretty belligerent. This is extremely sad news for sure but they are not a massive studio and laying blame on them for their product not reaching a greater audience is unfair to a point. You can blame a lack of marketing and reach (since the game is quite well made, played it on Android) but at the end of the day they have to make a living and if there's no profit in this project then that's that. You should be happy we even saw episodes one and two to begin with.

So sadly with that being the case if you haven't allready bought the game yet (And it is good though by the way) why bother as just like me you'll never sadly find out what happens at the end............EVVVVVVVVVVVVVVER!!!!

Why would you recommend people not buy it? The two mysteries ARE complete and if more pople do buy it we MIGHT get the third episode. By actively telling people not to buy it you are doing your best to ensure that we never will get another one.

I agree with the others: It's disappointing that we won't get a full run of episodes, but there are two perfectly good murder mysteries here, along with lovely music and illustrations.

And who knows? perhaps if it continues to sell we will get an end to the arc.
