Can it be played in Win 10 64bits?
The last time I tried to run the game when I bought it many years ago I couldnt run it in Win7 64bits, now I have Win10 64bits and Steam is recommending me this game.

Can it be played now in up to date OS?

Only thing i had to do was change the executables so it wont cry about not finding steam, and there was a really simple guide for that in steam.

You don't even need to do that: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=26798077&postcount=13

Fixing the lag issues requires that you restart the computer.

Didnt have to do that
Windows 10 solution

Cannot find steam error is a series of errors that happens due to Windows 10 adapatability.

First Copy Steam.dll to Jade Empire directory (where the 4 exec files are)

Create in data SystemInformation.xml

Go to Jade Empire directory... remove all compatibility to the 4 executables files except "Run as admin"

Run the game... do not ever enter configuration at launch... it crashes anyways.

Play the game... then go to configuration inside the game using keyboard keys or INI file.

Set resolution to max in order to get the mouse cursor working.

All right now you can play!
