Xbox Style "Free Camera" Movement?
Might be a strange request. Anyway, i've only ever really played this on the OG Xbox. I've tried playing the PC version before, but never got that far in.

Much like the last time i tried, i was put off by how the PC version controls, even with a 360 Pad for which the game seems to pick up immediately.

In the original Xbox version, your character would move/run in the direction you push the analogue stick. In the PC version, the character only ever seems to face forward, away from the camera. If i choose to move left/right/back, the character will "strafe" as if in combat mode.

It's a small thing, but is a little off-putting. Is there a way anyone knows to modify this "Fixed" view direction to make it "free" like the original?

Unfortunately the camera behavior is hardcoded. I tried to search into any 2da an ncs files, but I couldnt find anything related to this.

You're a good dude, Dunde.
Sad that it has to be this way. I'm sure most who aren't aware wouldn't care, but it's hard to play when you know.

The only time we have top down camera is on the bridge when we play as Dawn Star or Silk Fox helping Kang to destroy the bridge, but even in the scene, the PC will strafe for left/right key or left analog stick. Right analog stick (assumed that ini file 's fixed already for L/R look) will still rotate the PC

OK, I gave up trying to change the button and camera behavior, and finally I found a setting that will produce the control as close as can be as Xbox control on PC. Basically, I set the same analog stick axis for L/R Look (Camera) and L/R Movement. The PC will still strafe if we move the stick to Left or Right, but the camera will follow. If we move to Left/Right Backward, the PC will run. The final result is not exactly the same as the xbox control, but at least, we won't see the PC stand still and the world around him turning around in unrealistic look.

Movement L/R=Left StickX
Movement U/D=Left StickY
Look L/R=Left StickX
Look U/D=Right StickY
