Steam, GOG or Origin... is there a "best" version?
I have it on all three, but really have no idea if any one of them is the "best" (most up to date, least Windows 10 issues, etc.)

I'm subscribed to this forum, and all I hear about the Steam version are complaints. I'd suggest Origin. It's an EA / BioWare game, so I'd expect better support over there.

Thanks, I'll just do some comparisons and see if I can find build numbers in the game menus and stuff... I know the GOG version of Dragon Age Origins is pretty much near perfect and might even be the best version you can get... they even customized the splash screen to get rid of the news section that's no longer active and stuff

It's a decent port (I have it there, too), but.. I doubt anyone would want to play a game of that length on a tablet or phone... Since originally posting this, I tested all three versions and I would have to go with GOG for sure if you want it on desktop... it's just as solid as the Origin version, but... no DRM, still comes with all the goodies... soundtrack, etc.

All I can say is that the Steam version is literally hit or miss. Either it works on your computer, or it doesn't. I installed, tried to play, it told me it couldn't find Steam. GOG was good though. EA might "support" it better, but let's be honest, if it doesn't pull in enough money for EA, they don't really care.

This is individual for each person. I'm playing this mobile version and - i like it.
And you can play this version on desktop too - just using android emulator (NoX, BlueStacks).

The GOG version has been patched to remove any stuttering issues and other problems. It is the best version to buy. All the settings including resolutions are available on the in game menu rather than having to dig into the files or using the Config tool to change it.

GOG notes

Changelog for Update (added 30 October 2017):

⦁ added stutter fix based on fk.'s code
⦁ separated language builds
⦁ removed shortcut to Config Tool, due to application instability (all settings are accessible via in-game menu)
