cut off from grinding in forest?!?!

So I'm in chapter 2. I'm in the forest where the fox spirit is going to appear. I started around level 6 or 7 and have been grinding the spirits there from the first spirits to the ones where the fork in the road occurs....

Well, I almost got to level 18 just grinding them, but now they have suddenly stopped respawning.

Tried saving reloading, exiting area and coming back, but nope, they gone..

Is this a bug, or is this some anti grind system they put into place?

turned out to be a bug. I progressed up toward the inn and found a new respawn point. Then backtracked, and the original 2 respawn points started back normal again.. Made it to level 20... Think I will start playing the game now.
