Killing the forest spirit. benefits? (Spoilers)

So i'm trying to do a sort of mostly open palm run on jade empire, but i really am curious, is there any long lasting story effects to me murdering the fox spirit? I know that you can get bonus exp for killing both her, and the mother in one fell swoop, but i am curious if killing her is going to negatively impact things in the future? I ask because i already killed her, and am wondering if it's worth reverting to an earlier save if it has some large impact or not.

It ruins the forest. So it doesn't make sense to kill her if you're going Open Palm.
