how many hours do you need to spend to finish the game?

I'm at 30, still have the last boss to do, Endless Arena and the entire game on Apocalyptic difficulty. You can probably lower that by ~10hrs, cuz I made sure I've picked pretty much all collectibles on the first playthrough, which is why I'm going on 30hrs+.

no, there's no way you'll get 30 hours unless you sniff every corner and look at every rock. even me, who takes my time playing a game, i finished it in about 17-18 hours.
my profile says 45 but that's going back and playing some levels on apocalypse and leaving the game running in the background.

i would say most people would get about 13-15 hours, or about 20 hours IF you go back and collect all the collectables you missed.

Oh shoot...that 30 hours is seriously true then. My friend and I co-op'd the entire game and were trying to go for everything and what do you know, 30 hours. XD that's hilarious. We still have some more side quests to complete and to attempt every arena and max out creature cores...and play the unlockable hard difficulty but 30 hours is pretty spot on and every bit was worth it.

all creature cores level 3 , (except leviathans maze its only level 2) all wrath and health stones, abyssal armor for both War and Strife, Arena completed, Infinite arena stage 100+, all quests complete, sitting at almost 50 hours... 10 of which prolly went in to leviathans maze lol

Im at around 32 hours. I completed the story + Arena and i replayed every level at least once/twice so far, because of the collectibles + for the side quests/achievments. Also i try to collect and max out every creature core. What is left for me: Leviathan's maze, but i doubt i can do it and ofc the Apocalyptic playthrough. You can rush through the story mode in casual/normal around 10+ hour, but thats not fun, atleast for me. This type of games especially this series deserves the maximum effort :)

That's why I said he can easily shave off 10hrs off of my 30hrs time. A few hours were just Alt+TABbed, leaving the game in the background, but the other ~7hrs or so were actually spent looking up every nook and cranny indeed. Especially a lot of time was wasted looking for Item Chest icons on the map that DON'T FREAKING EXIST.

And, as mentioned, I've tried doing as many Quests as possible on the first playthrough, too. Just getting the 70k score in the Arena is like 30 minutes alone or so.

This also counts doing most levels two times, in order to go back and collect missing items from when I didn't have all 3 Gears for both characters.
