If we get Darksiders 4 playing as Strife, they will probably follow his actions during the same time as Fury and Death, possibly with Darksiders 4 ending where Strife reveals himself to Fury or starting off from there, and then maybe a Darksiders 5 to close the series with all riders coming together.
As for gameplay, yeah, i agree with you, it is hard to imagine him with a similar playstyle as War, Death and Fury. Nonetheless, I do think, especially after seeing him and his combat style in Darksiders Genesis, that we will most likely get a similar combat style as Fury or Death, with a stronger emphasis on ranged weapons, possibly inspired by games like Doom or Red Dead Redemption. They have also experimented with shooter elements in both Darksiders and Darksiders 2, so who knows what we might get in Darksiders 4 for Strife.
