For a smidge more detail, keep going to the right past the entrance to the refinery. You'll see a nice big pipe surrounded by acid. Jump into it.

Yeah, I can confirm that much. There's also a valve down there and one of the Quests is to just jump down there. Please mark RCMidas' answer as the answer to this question.

And just to save you some frustration of trying to find a collectible piece there, you can not collect health shard visible on map until you obtain last skill for Strife few missions later.
