Anyone know how to parry?

As the Title states, must have missed some tutorial on this, currently stuck on paary-ing one of belials attacks for the quest and just assued i had to perfectly time a block or soething like it.

Am I just ♥♥♥♥ at timing or is there something else to be done to "parry"?^^

Enemies will glow in yellow before hitting you with a powerful attack, press RB right before and War will stop the hit and you'll see another yello glow, press X to attack and it'll be a counter-attack instead of a normal light attack.

For anyone wondering, you additionally need to have purchased the corresponding Rank 1 upgrade to do so too....god im stupid...^^
