Help on Something Odd Quest

One of the few quest I have left is the Something Odd quest on Nikra. When I investigate the abandoned house there's a crazy guy who says something about needing his special drink. I think it was ale but when I try to give him some he says “My ale! No wait… that’s not it”

Does anyone know how to complete this quest? Have I just completely missed something? Any help is appreciated.

I know that quest is a pain and sort of tucked away but it opens up a lot of somewhat hidden quests! About 4 of the quests are somewhat hidden such as this one.
