You can try the first one, and then give a try to the anime, if you liked it.
Not sure how much related to Studio Trigger you are, but they are like the Platinum Games of Anime, every show they made is very well done with tons of love and details, animation is always on point. That said this is might be their most chill show talking about action but is still very worth watching.
I think LWA is a wonderful anime, and you should definetly try it out! You can either start with the first two OAV, Little Witch Academia (20 min) & Enchanted Parade (50 min), or you can hop on the anime (26 episodes).
