- First was only "sex", not a relationship. It was only one conversation, so very few text about this. And the players could not see anything during the act. What's the point of having one short text just to have some (invisible) sex in a video game? It's ridiculous. And it wasn't a "romance".
- The second was with a crazy woman. And again with one or two conversations, not more. It wasn't deep and not really a "romance". But at least it was interesting for the game and its psychological part because the girl was clearly a psychopath.
If "romances" doesn't bring anything to the game, except to comfort single people in front of their screen with an imaginary and superficial relationship, I don't see the point. It's a waste of resources that would be better used in something else.
That said, personally i always bet on a no. But the devs will answer for themselves since they are the only ones who know if the game will have some.
I know most combat games tend to push the sociopath angle to the extreme but I am not sure that should necessarily be the case in an rpg, relationships aren't all romantic, in fact most are not.
