Future updates and development roadmap
Hi everyone!
Here is a thread about the future planned updates as well as a roadmap of features we will be adding or improving in the future.

Short term

Next update (v 1.05)
Adding full controller support by making both controllers and keyboard act at the same time with a different key setting. This will ensure that users that use controllers or steam big picture can always navigate menus 100% of the time even if they did use a keyboard during previous sessions.
Improving the current controller scheme for the Steam Input API will also ensure that no one has issues with controllers (especially the d-pad as Steam Input seems to be messing with the default controls).

Long term

Mac version.
A mac version was planned for release but was delayed because of library compatibility issues with the 64bit OS update.
The mac version will include all previous updates including v 1.05

Ingame Leaderboards
Playing for score is a big reason shmup players like to revisit stages again and again and improve but right now there is no way to check the scores leaderboard.
That feature will be added in a future update on the map sectors panel.

Adding a gauntlet mode to the game.
A gauntlet mode is a traditional way to play a game like an arcade game...levels one after another and without any of the RPG elements or going back to the cockpit. It will use bonus upgrades dropping from key enemies and play like an arcade game where you need to fight from start to finish.
Not every shmup players like RPG mechanics or having to deal with inventory systems so this feature should please the players that just want the old school arcade-like experience.

Adding a way to play custom levels and releasing the level editor.
This is a fun way to discover how the game works and to mess with the level editor to create fun things in which you could have enemies from different sectors in the same level.

Of course, along with all those content and features updates, we will continue to monitor player feedback and improve balance as much as possible. Some parts have already been changed (such as the repair price being lowered and some enemies life values being reduced) and we will continue improving the game as time goes.

We will also try to modify a few things to improve feedback and game mechanics understanding.
For instance, we will add some visual about gems dropping of the ship to show you lose them when you die.
