So, let's start with Lilith. She used to be a nun, but she got lured by evil forces called the Dark Ones. She lived the rest of her life isolated and devoted herself to the Dark Ones and their plan to bring forth Evil into the world. To that end, once she activated the Stone of Whispers (which acts as some kind of link between their realm and ours), she had to find willing sacrifices (the cultists). So she lured the Pastor and used him to lure in all the others. You, as the postman, can either fall victim to the Evil, accept fate (acceptance would have been a better term, you're right) or get stuck in the town.
This was our first attempt at telling a story in a video game and we were messy in our approach. We kinda shot ourselves in the foot by deciding to purposefully make the story vague and by trying to use a non-conventional storytelling method in our first game ever!
But hey, we learned a lot of stuff from it! :)
thanks a lot, it really helps. especially because devs rarely "explain" their game even after so long
but i still dont get when did he get stuck? i though he's out of town in secret ending (the other is dead and corrupted)
personally i prefer to "know" everything, even if it's a spoiler
it's enjoyable and not getting in my head
that's a mystery indeed
