bonus puzzle a2 help
i literally don't even know how to start, shadowbox felt doable but this one feels like a massive block. this is my last puzzle lol, any hints on how to start? it's called "stitches"

also, i came to the conclusion about 94: gridlock iii about each of the "intersections" being safe spaces, but like i don't really understand why. i solved the puzzle fine but i wanted some explanation as to why this was a conclusion i could make. toward the end of the game, i felt like i was occasionally making choices out of "intuition" (and out of frustration) and gridlock iii felt like a major victim of that form of decisionmaking. i'm not too proud of just using that gut feeling rather than fully understanding the logic, but it almost always led me to correct conclusions. perhaps i was seeing some things more instinctively now without needing to puzzle through the full thought pattern? anyway, please help with stitches lol

Major spoiler for Gridlock III: There are 28 total grey mines in the puzzle, and the row and column hints add up to 28. That means each grey mine is counted just once by the rows/columns. If there were any mines in the grey intersections, the row+column hints would add up to more than 28, so those tiles are all safe.

A2 (stitches) is very difficult, it is the last one I solved. I learned a new "trick" (after over 100 hours of gameplay lol) that helped me figure it out though. It's also useful for other puzzles (albeit not necessary, unlike stitches). The trick is that you can add up the count of non-overlapping zones for a larger zone you can solve individually each 2x2 revealed tiles with that and eventually solve everything.

I don't know if you remember what you meant by your trick. I am a bit confused by it.

I think what cyberlion means is that even if you do not know the exact location of mines, you know in which cells a mine should be. Do this for all the 'knowns'. Look at how many mines you have the approximate location and how many mines are left. If they match, then all cells not marked are minefree. Also works other way around.

The only level in which I need that "trick" is 95... Which is why it is one my least favorite levels. :)
