Deadly Spiders?

So, are there no health kits or healing on the Albedo level? I managed to avoid the various traps, only to run into a couple of spiders that killed me and put me back at the beginning. Is this the standard drill? Running from one just launched me into another spider.
Am I missing something?

I'm new to PC games and am not sure of the keyboard layout. Can you kill the spiders or do you just run from them? One killed me while getting a audio tape.

Both - you can lure the spiders into traps, as you can see in the trailer or you can just run from them. Easiest thing is probably to jump over them.

Controls - Space to jump, shift to run, as it should say on the start of Albedo.

The spiders make a distinct sound so you will know when they are closing in.
