Yes. It may seem a bit stale right now and we basically took the year off from Ingnomia due to ... reasons. But we haven't abandoned it.

i agree :P .... maybe some artwork dlc / music ... or something
that way your not techically asking for money for the original idea,

........that or revamp enough of the game so it becomes its own game ?

(prime example of this)
from what i heard a game called "Medivia" started off as a OT server for tibia (the original game) however over time they changed more then enough content in game the game pretty much turned into its own game, and cipsoft cant/couldn't do anything about it...

cant sue them cant demand it be taken down... nothing...
ofc that being said, i'd personally give some homage to the original game as it'd be only fair :), as gnomia has been a much loved gem for us all

...honestly i dont know, im not sure how ya could go about doing it so that you wouldn't be ripping the dev off / taking a dump on him/them

I am unemployed, but as soon as I start working I will contribute by patreon to your friend project. I'm a fan of Gnomoria and it would be a dream to see an improved successor to him. Please don't abandon this project. Dwarf fortress style games with gnomoria gameplay do not exist.
