I found a planet with "microcline depostis" and googled it, and I get that it's a dwarf fortress reference now, but what does it do? Do I get 0 metal for mining it? Negative metal? Or what? Thanks

If I recall correctly, it doesn't do anything special. It's just a little easter egg.

That's correct. Microcline does nothing special; all it does is notify you've found some and be blue.
