Bring Project Diva X HD and Future Tone to PC
It shouldn't be that hard to port those, since their engine is already running on PC, the Future Tone Arcade version is basically running on a PC. (since SEGA Nu and Ringedge machines are PCs)

Thats the best idea ever, I have a pretty good PC, and then buy a ♥♥♥♥ console for 1 game. I have a Vita but its so bad, even a light game like Project Diva has framedrops (even tho its 30 fps locked)

For someone with a pretty good pc is interesting to see port begging for a simple game then
How does that make any sense? Even if I wanted/had a PS4 I'd still get the game on PC instead if it existed. Only reason I have to touch my PS consoles is exclusives, even then, not many on PS4 excite me, literally only Bloodborne, H:ZD and Last of Us Remastered make me even think about possibly buying a PS4, Uncharted 4 wasn't that great and the other exclusives just aren't that amazing.

As mentioned by others, music licensing in Japan is brutal but Sony has no stake in the Project Diva games. PlayStation is simply the best selling console in Japan and it's a Japanese console so it makes sense to release it on the most popular console in that region, I'd say we're pretty lucky we ever got English ports of some of the games. While I'd love to see the PD games on Steam I don't know if it'll happen. For those of you who don't care about remastered graphics there's always PPSSPP.

The real reason the game will never hit PC is because licensin songs is a nightmare in Japan. Japan has some of the stingiest music licenscing laws, and it is the reason why many japanese rhythm games will never hit the west. Why relicense all of the songs for a new system (as im betting the contract states songs used are only for PS4/Arcade, and does not include pc) and then optimize a game for more than the single PC arcade configuration. This is all for the potential that the game might not even sell enough to recoupe the costs of licencing and development to make it worthwhile (as devs working other games will make more potential profit).

The development cost would be nearly zero, as it it's already running on a x64 Windows machine and DirectX takes care of most of the multiple brands of cards, CPUs and all that crap, as you can see if you use Teknoparrot: the Ringedge/Ringwide games just don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the hardware they're running on except a few of them which are already fixed by the hackers themselves.

The only thing I could agree with you is the licensing thing, but again, if you asked some months ago if FT would ever hit the West, EVERYONE told you that there was absolutely NO f*cking way something like that would happen, and you already know what happened after all that, so I still don't think it would be a major issue either.
Its not even about development costs...

Japanese record companies and basically the licensing industry is very cutthroat on the 'pride' and envy of it's rules and regulations.

I mean taking one look at the Japanese corporate industry would remind you of a jail, designed to control and limit your every move...

Konami is but a simple corporation compared to the BS industry Japan operates in, and whilst they roll out amazing products and have interesting game industries, do note that it comes at a MASSIVE cost due to how their population and government works.

I would not be surprised if there are corporate level corruption in their Government.

Anyone notice what happened back in the 2000s of the Japanese game industry where Konami was actually rolling out games and not turning half of them into mobile or pachin|<o parlor games?

You have a corporate leader of a game corporation that also runs the freaking health insurance company as a leader, for all health insurance services for game corporations and companies.

You have corporations/companies that runs many many different types of companies in Japan, monopoly or anti-trust rules? pfft.

I absolutely want this too. I have a Vita, but the screen is so damn small. I play the games for a while, then return to my PC games with vocaloid songs as my BGM.
I would get a PS4, if I hadnt just built myself a new PC and the PS4 wasnt already almost reaching its transition phase to PS5.

Put F, F2, X, Future Tone, other Miku games, DLC - any or all of those on here, I'll happily buy them all :D
Hm really thought I had gotten a message that the goal of 1500 had been met. Strange
Congrats for reaching 1500
it would be great and awesome if sega give a hit making project diva available on PC,because not all time i can use the ps4
heh so this thread is still sort of alive and kicking then. By now I actually have that PS4 and a switch, but I'd still buy the games again on pc. More Miku is always better.
Don't see it happening anytime soon though :(
Lol I just play the F 2nd and Arcade Future Tone games on PC. If they're not bringing Project DIVA games officially to PC then I'll continue to use emulators. ;)

Edit: if they don't want my money then they don't need to bring Project DIVA to PC :)
