Please post your driver versions + GPU + CPU and what you have tested to make it better.
I´ve noticed that some cards it works if you go windowed mode and some if you go full screen mode.
Also noticed that older drivers seems to not have the issue (watched a few streams and asked the streamers)
Seems also that some of the bigger cards have issues while the "older" models do not, so as much information as possible so i can give the team the best possible report tomorrow morning and we can start fixing this.
Personally I´ve play tested the game for over 40 hours now and never had lags and i´m using a 980 so it is a very strange thing that people with titans and 1080TI is reporting lag and FPS issues.
//BFG Zyddie.
Mostly when I go to a new area. In combat it is smooth tho
I have the same graphics card as you and i have found turning the shadows to Low and leaving everything else on high gives me about 55fps with the odd spike now and again try that see if it works for you too
Hi zyddie,
Gtx980ti here
I7 4790k
16gb ram 2400mhz
Last nvidia driver released.
Even with everything on low, 1080p still getting between 50 to 25 fps. I don't know what to do. I can't play windowed because i don't know if nvidia shadowplay works. I was expecting "at least" 60 fps but this way it's a torture. I cannot fight the enemy with so much lag.
AMD FX 8350
NVidia gtx 970 (not one of the "big" cards old or new) driver 388.59
16gb ddr3
Windows 10 64 bit pro
Win 10, I7-770K 4.20 ghz, 32g ram, GTX 1070 on driver 388.13 as the last new one does not like unreal 3... Tried windowed, window borderless, and full screen 1440p at ultra I get 32-38 fps at best. If I drop settings I can get 52ish but never get any ware near 60's.
Not going to refund as I like hard games and love the feel so far (LOOKS GREAT) just wish I could get better FPS to do videos on it ;-(
Would like if a few people could test that out and report back.

I am trying the newest driver and different settings... will report back....but @1080p with med view and everything high but foliage I jumped up to 57 FPS with some drops... next will try shadows.
Ok tied some new setting and was running better and mostly above 60 FPS @1440p n new driver.

Shadows had the biggest effect but now that game doesn’t look as good. Will wait a few days
Before I do a video on it to give you some time to work out the issues. The game LOOKS so great at full rez and ultra-settings I would hate to have it look bad in a LP.
P.s. I went looking for the files to try a tweak the unreal settings but did not see them in the normal place.... where do you have the program set to install to.
Definitely needs work in the windowed department.
I play full screen and have this issue, it looks quite random as to which scren mode causes it, the devs are suggesting turning off shadows for now until they fix it.
