WUM & Worms 4 mayhem

What is basically difference between two of them? I remember I played only W4M, which released in 2005 and I dont see any comparison WUM with W4M. Is it remake of W4M?

Worms Ultimate Mayhem is basically an unfinished, incomplete and semi-broken version of Worms 4: Mayhem, to which they poorly included the campaign and maps of Worms3D, to then walk away with the money leaving us abandoned and the game in that state. Nothing surprising from such a mediocre and greedy company, as this is what they do with every single title without exception.

If you have or can get the old PC version of Worms 4: Mayhem, this "Ultimate" is not worth it, unless you feel like getting angry and feeling ripped off. The old one runs fine even on Windows 11.

Would be cool if you told us why? What exactly is so "unfinished" and "broken" about WUM? I own both versions and Ultimate Mayhem is superior graphically and performance-wise. I have 144 fps with v-sync enabled and i do rope tricks lol.

I only have played WUM on the Xbox 360. and getting it off steam I don't really think I wasted money when I'm looking forward to collecting all of the worms games.

Can't say for sure, but I owned the PC version of Worms 4 on DVD-ROM back in the day and remember unlocking the maps and characters/skins etc in game. Then I saw Worms Ultimate Mayhem on PSN and they were selling the base game by itself, and all of the maps/skins/etc as microtransactions. They basically broke the complete game into pieces. They did add the Worms 3D campaign, so that's a plus I suppose. This isn't mentioning the fact that the mouse is jittery for some reason on modern systems and makes the game very hard to play now.

well, about that. i had w4m in a cd. i tried to intall it in many ways. even an alternative way. but my computer CRASHED eventually. win10 just CAN'T operate it AT ALL. i had a terrible experience with it and cannot trust it

i really wish i could play with the worms 3d themes for random generation i really liked then (especially pirate and england) but team 17 abandoned this game a long time ago and it looks like that it will not be possible to make it with mods without decompiling it, also i guess that there ins't even all day times for worms2d maps too (i've never seen the alien day time (green water) in this game)
