zepO is really bad in Mayhem, thats why he likes the 2D games, cause it's "easier" to play. So he doesnt like a challenging good game like Worms Ultimate Mayhem.
I hope they make a new game like this
Played the old Worms on a Win 95 and 98 hour after hour, resulting in being able to throw a grenade precisely over the whole map to detonate right infront of the face of the victim.
Hated Worms 2 and Armageddon for its Comic like Style, but got used to it.
Played Mayhem back in 2005 and had a lot of fun, tho the control is, like in UM, some kind of washy. Wind Control and firing over long distances is very hard in this 3D enviroment. They should have made some kind of indicator that somehow predicts, where your shot will land (without wind affect, some skill should be left to the player). In 2D this isnt that necessary, besides of some real good trickshots with wind mechanics.
Cant say, which i love more, but Worms in 2D is more novice friendly and easier to learn for casuals, but is still quite a good challenge for mastering its weapons. 3D is not so easy at first, but opens up for more interesting strategies, that don't work in 2D and mastering the mechanics is, at least for me, quite as fun as it was in the 90s
This one has a few missing features that W4M had like the lobby and wormpot online.
It still is the best worms game in my opinion I'm glad that people enjoy the 2D games but they weren't as mindblowing as this game was for me. I enjoyed 3D and Forts Under Siege as well.
The minor glitches with 3D versions aren't that much of a setback, frankly speaking.
I enjoyed both, but now its kinda hard to go back to 2D worms, 3D yes, I can continue playing online....
As for wormpot, there are tools online which can toggle it on in MP too.
