I do have a friend that's using an elite controller with the XBox 1X. She gave up trying to configure the controller because of the rediculous amount of commands required to bind in the game's setup menu for the controller. There was more than 30 commands to try and bind to the controller and it just became one huge hassle (that's a migraine waiting to happen). The best option (she says) may be to try to adapt to using a keyboard and mouse only which uses way less keys/buttons (about 7), which is not what you wanted to hear, of course.
