Campaign time challenges: Is there any point to them?

Going through the campgain now, and seeing every level has a challenge of clearing it in a set amount of time. Is there any point to going after these? Or are they just a bonus for completionists?

If you complete the time challenges you probably get extra things in the shop

Beating those times gives you extra coins to buy stuff from the Shop with. And beating them all will also give you Steam achievements: "Time Attacked" and "Clock Watching".

Unless you don't complete them in time bonus and get all items, you won't get the "Kitchen Sink" weapon scheme, which has all weapons, even 5 special weapons including Concrete Donkey, Alien Abduction, etc...

So, its necessary for completion.

Yes, multiplayer works fine... but the achievements are yet to be done.
