Cant open console.. pls help

Hi there..

I do the "-console" command at game starting options.. But ingame no console appears.. So i hit the ^ key.. or the ~ key.. nothing happens.. What do i wrong???

do you have non-english keyboard ?
did you put the "-console" in the "set launch options"
in the Thief Simulator - Properties in steam

Yes sir.. i put it on the right place.. but no console ingame..

then I do not know what's wrong.
something you can try, is to press different buttons and see if the console comes up then.

Maybe the keyboard has some quick functions on that button, did you try holding the "Fn" or "Function button" and pressing ~ or `

use the original game exe , make a shortcut or use it when you have it on desktop, then properties and add -console -developer

I am not the OP, but I have the same exact problem. I have tried the "-console" in the "set launch options", added the "-console -developer" in the shortcut, and tried various buttons with ~, and still, nothing.

Anything else I could try?

Do you have an english keyboard?

No, but as I said I have tried other buttons with the ~ key, including alt+gr that is used to make it.

Do you really have to have an English keyboard to bring up the console commands? That kind of sucks, but at least that would explain why any of my keysmashing isn't working, ha.

Did you try windows on screen keyboard, it's hard to say where is the correct key on non english keyboards.

I just tested out the on screen keyboard, and it's still not working.

I come from Germany and i need to press "ö" on my Keyboard.
