I beat the game without having to repeatedly visit neighborhoods to do tasks and steal more. I just played stealthily and looted whatever I could while visiting a neighborhood for the main story missions.
Also, of course the game is repetition based LOL. It's THIEF SIMULATOR. Not "The Life and Crimes of a Thief: An In-Depth Story of a Crook". The description even explains how this is a sandbox game, so repetition should be expected to at least some degree.
Not really but sometimes you spend crap on crap to early or you dont steal enough on previous jobs, so now and then you have to do a few more to catch up to where you should have been at, im at the ending now and have probably had to do that once. Depends on what you mean by it, if do you have to repeat over and over the same one thing for hours in order to progress then no, do you have to do maybe same house a few times or something sometimes to progress then yes, but hell its fun, so who cares, i go back through stuff even when i dont have to, theres always sumin you missed
It's the going back to the same house time after time that is repetitive, and a bit boring to me. I'd love to be able to tie the residents up, that way i could loot the whole house in one go.... Maybe this game isn't for me:-/
Each neighborhood has multiple homes though? The only reason for you to return to the same home over and over again is if you are failing your missions..
That's what i mean, eg one mission will send you for something from the safe, then another mission will send you to the same house to break the toilet
Just do a bit of freelancing, it will still give you XP.
there should be a practice lock in your shop.
