Police with magical view and where to park car ?!

I played in early 2019., then pauses game now i have 2 questions please:

1. How far can the police look to find me? Sometimes I think they have ultra glasses on their eyes because they see me about 100 meters and I get caught. And they exactly know where i am, only escape is closet or trash.

2. Why do they call always the police when they see my van`? I want to place it near the victim house to get more pictures and TVs into it. And is there optiomn to carry more pictures in my hand?

Their sight range is higher than civilians, and civilians can spot you for the police if there's a search on. Best to either run where nobody else is, or duck into a closet or a dumpster. They always go to the scene of the crime reported. So if you steal something by the front door and sneak to the back of the house without getting spotted en-route, they'll start their search at the front door when they get called. But they WILL canvass a good chunk of the rest of the property.

If the neighbourhood has a shield, I think they're on increased alert due to your activities. Steal something simple and quick without getting spotted, and head back to your place, and it should reset the neighbourhood watch status.
