Steal high value objects, don't get spotted.

Steal everything that has the XP bonus.

AFAIR 101 is a place where you easily can "grind" XP. Although it's not so difficult to earn XP if you complete all jobs and get all loot via blackbay.

The best way to get xp is to steal jewelry/phones. You also only get bonus xp the first time you steal each item. So always stealing different items when you go a house a second time will get you more xp than picking up the same items you previously stole and sold. Honestly, if you do a full romp through each house in the story mode you probably won't need to do much "grinding" of xp, might have to visit an extra house if you dont' know which items to pick up (which is expected).

Buy the micro camera. Some houses don't have the routine tips and it's useful to give you the routine to clear the house without being spotted. Tip: you can sleep for 24 hours on a parking lot or in your house to get the routine faster.
