Proper Way to Jump on Car?

It takes tons of tries when I try to jump on my car and climb the fences, is there a "proper" way of doing it? I've tried both the front and side.

It does seem oddly difficult to get on top of your car. Maybe a separate interaction key needs to be made for it.

If you do a quick sprint or run before then jump seems to work

I don't know why but I run a lot before climbing the car and it doesn't work...
