Pro Cyclist, no help from Teammates in GT

After missing the last 4 or 5 games, i bought this one, playing now the Pro Cyclist Mode.
It´s a nice mode and I enjoy playing it so far.

Something now makes me mad.

I´m leading the Giro d´Italia in 2020 at the 19th stage, with Aru, Izagirre and Zakarin following on 2nd-4th. I´m the captain, with everyone being in helper role (Landa, Buchmann, Rivera as Climbers, only around position 20 with over 20 min back).
We the top 4 crashed on the top of the biggest mountain of the stage. With everyone else driving in the leadersgroup as nothing happened. No Teammate fell back to help me, but they protected me before. Aru, Izagirre and Zakarin had the same problem, teammates infront, but no one fell back to help their captain.
We managed to get back in the maingroup, but had no strength at the last mountain to conter the attacks of D.Martin. Our teammates didn´t help us then, but were at Martin as long as they could and my teammates were leading at his group to the end of the stage. Wtf? My teammates helping my rival, not me.

It really annoys me, cause I cant give my teammates a task, when they are not in my group (falling back after my crash) and at the last mountain they were partly grey for me, so I couldn´t give them an advice to drive slow to help me.

This is ruining the experience of the Pro Cyclist mode for me.

Any advice or help for this problem, besides of crashing the game and start the stage from the beginning?

thank you for the quick answer.
I will send my saves there, although I already finished the Giro.
I crashed the game before the stage ended and after playing it again, everything went fine. No one crashed and my teammates didn´t do anything weird.

I never can give orders to teammates, who are not in my group, so I think this is working as intended.

Yes, it is working as intended, but if we can find a way to make some AI fall back for a leader, it would have make that feeling that you cound for your team... which is lacking actually, as you experienced it.

For the saves, you can send a weekly one : those are dated (year-month-day, if I remember well).
But for this case, it is to confirm that you are a leader and to see what's wrong with the AI when the leader falls to the back of the race, whatever the reason.

Being in the same group, the teammates behaviour was fine (bringing water bottles, securing the captain, chasing the runaway drivers (don´t know if this is the right english term), stopped chasing when rivals of me crashed to wait for them).

Which database do you use in your game (it has no impact on your bug) ?
