Sea Carpet, Omega Ferromin and the Emperor's Crown

I have been playing this game for a very long time (current save passed 500 hours today) and I have never once seen Euria try to sell the Sea Carpet. Do I have to do something special to make her sell it to me? I am half-worried that patch 1.108 inadvertently removed it from her selection of wares at this point. (I only know it exists because it's listed on the Recettear wiki)

I also have similar worries about the Emperor's Crown, which I have yet to see despite close to 200 runs through the Crystal Nightmare boss rush. (It's the only drop aside from the last Omega Ferromin I have yet to get)

Lastly, is there some sort of special condition for Omega Ferromin to drop? I've found two bottles, one in Crystal Nightmare 1-10 and one in Crystal Nightmare 21-30, but since then I haven't seen a single one despite intense farming for almost a full week.

(I should note that I bought the game from a different source than Steam, thus why it can't be found in my library here.)

It's all down to luck, basically. I've had Euria sell me the Sea Carpet a few times, even without me trying to raise my reputation with her. As for the other things, it's just the First Law of Pokemon applied to this game. Whenever you go looking for a specific, rare Pokemon (or in this case, a specific, rare item) you will find everything exept what you're looking for, including multiple items that are even rarer than what you want.

I'm still waiting for the Sea Carpet too. Yet to see a single Omega Ferromin.

I did, however, get two Emperor's Crowns on a run the other night.

Did you find the Emperor's Crowns in the boss rush or on one of the regular floors?

Omega Ferromin is a serious pain to farm. Literally the only purpose of rank 4-5 items is to farm more rank 4-5 items, so x3 Omega Ferromin for Invincible Armor is a bit bonkers. Doesn't help that both Louie and Arma, the only characters who can wear Invincible Armor, are both heavily outclassed for farming purposes by Griff and Charme. (Arma might have Rocket Boots, but give Charme some good defensive equipment and like 30 mont blancs and she can spam Flame Charge from start to finish of a thorough 10 floor run without running out of inventory space)

Wow, could you actually describe what your effort was? Did you just save/load multiple times, or it didn't help? Did you keep leveling her up by buying at near pin prices? I understand it's been two years already, but still. Nobody else on the internet says what they did to get the carpet, or whether they got it at all.

I decorated the store with gaudy and bright decorations (I don't remember the exact values Euria liked though; you should probably check the Wiki for that) so Euria would come by as often as possible, then I just repeatedly opened the store over and over again for hours until she finally sold me the carpet. It took me a very long time, to say the least. I'm not sure if anything else is required, as it was one of the last things I did in the game, and I had pretty much everything maxed out by then.

OK, thanks for the answer :). Just to make it clear - you just played the game as it went, not reloaded the same save game over and over again until she offered the carpet, right?

No problem! I just played the game as it went, but I think it would probably work out just fine if you savescummed to get it too. I did that with some of the things I farmed for in dungeons to save time. It's all RNG, so I don't *think* there should be a problem

It's been several years, but I can answer this question.

Yes you must do something special before you can get the Sea Carpet. Euria will only attempt to sell you the Sea Carpet if you have both the Ocean Wallpaper and Seabed Floor decorations active in the store. Once this happens and she visits, she has a 1 in 12 chance of selling it to you.

The Emperor's Crown is simply rare. There's a 1 in 4480 chance at best from getting it from a chest in the Crystal Nightmare. The left chest on floor 30/60 (basically if you started from floor 1 or did the boss rush) has a 1 in 224 chance of giving it to you instead.

The right chest has a 1 in 946 chance of giving you the crown.

The middle chest has a 1 in 61.632~ chance of giving you the crown, so long as you started from the boss rush, or at least started from floor 11. If you started from floor 21, the chance falls to 1 in 1892 instead.

Overall you have around a 1 in 46 chance of finding one at the end of the dungeon if you start from floor 1 or do the boss rush.

As for the Omega Ferromin... the rarity is unfortunately glitched. A mistake in the RNG code causes the item to be rarer than intended. It's supposed to have the same rarity as the Emperor's Crown in some cases, but that unfortunately isn't the case.

At best you have a 1 in 1763 chance of obtaining one from the Crystal Nightmare. You can also find it in Lapis Ruins but the chance of getting one from a chest is 1 in 8780 at best.

The left chest at the end floor has a 1 in 448 chance of giving you one. The right chest has about a 1 in 631 chance of giving it to you. And the middle chest has a 1 in 1892 chance of giving it to you if you started from the boss rush or from floor 11. If you started from floor 21, the chance is... boosted to 1 in 1261 instead. This part isn't a mistake, it's just how the end rewards of the Crystal Nightmare are coded.

The overall chance of finding Omega Ferromin at the end of the dungeon is 1 in 230. If the RNG worked as intended, the chance would be 1 in 137 instead, but alas.

Thank you!!! After activating the Ocean Wallpaper and Seabed Floor decorations (and putting them on display in the front window for good measure), I finally got the Sea Carpet and completed all inventory items :D
