What are house decoration items?
I tried using fishing poles, Desks, Wall paper, and treasures. None of that seems to work though

Well, a lot of treasures usually count as house decoration items, like for example Thankkful statues, unthankful statues, Golden Pedestal, and so on. Heck, some weapons and armor count as house decorations.

However, for the most part it's just trial and error.
