Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale

Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale

Customers are stupid as *…
I've been asked multiple times for 'metal things', and Gilded Swords as well as (Un)thankful Statues make the customers leave, but these items are affected by metal and precious metal price changes (in my experience).

I'm rather fed up that the game doesn't clearly specify what types of items will fufill a desired request. If you're going to expect me to fill an order for "something warm" or "cold weather clothes" or anything else like that, at least accept reasonable guesses. These vauge catagories are not clearly identified by the game, and I always * them up. Did you know gloves are a weapon type, not an armour type? I didn't. Took 25 misguided assumptions before I found the button to show item details and it pointed that out. And at the time, I still hadn't gotten the card for whatever hero uses the glove.

The item details shows minimal data, too. Doesn't mention the absurd sub-categories the items fit into. This really should be corrected at somepoint, so I can give people what they want and earn enough to pay off my father's debt. Muffler not cold weather clothing? Bull*!

-End Rant-

Easy there... It's easy to tell what is metal or not because of the news headlines. Stuff like "the price of metal things have lowered" will tell you what is metal or not.

Or you can go to this link, and it will tell you all of the categories: http://recettear.wikia.com/wiki/Categories

Not including 'precious metals' with 'metals', and raising the prices of precious metals along with metals doesn't help. Thanks. Also, when I tried to sell a muffler as cold weather clothing, it didn't work, so there may be more mistakes in that guide.

Wait till they start asking for "something fancy". I want to clobber customers who ask for that.

Was it a order? If it was an order, both items need to be "Cold weather clothes". What if you sold a muffler and a something else not in that category. If it was a single order, then I call BS.

No, they came to the counter, said "Can you sell me cold weather clothing?" I offered the muffler (the blue one) and they said they didn't want it and left. Luie wanted it.

The vaugeness of 'something warm' is painful. The first time a man (generic young adult male) asked for something warm, I tried selling him a beef bowl. It did not go well.
