How did I miss so much plot stuff?

Tear apparently hiding a secret was a plot point that never seemed to get resolved, and the end credits showed a huge amount of characters and places I didn't recognise.
I did hear something about leaving the town but I could never figure out how so I ended up assuming that's just what dungeon crawling was.
Not to mention, for all intents and purposes, the game did seem too short for its design. I never even upgraded the shop, because I was struggling to satisfyingly keep my shelves stocked as it was, so unless I was doing something wrong in my item gathering and purchasing I have to ask if that stuff's only intended for Survival Mode.

There's an Endless mode too, which I think is meant for actually getting through all the plot.

Yeah once the debt part ends the game basically goes into part 2 of its story during the endless run where you just go into dungeons and keep running the store until more plot starts happening .

Okay. I could've sworn they said Endless Mode had no story to it, but whatever.
Still, without any debt to pay, does Endless Mode have no stakes?

I dont remember if it mentioned if it was endless mode. But i do remember continuing to play once the debt was payed and continuing the story from there until the final boss. It was from reloading the same save i think?

Endless mode isn't just "endless". It's the continuation of the story after the end credits, like an omake/extra
