Where the heck is a Charred Lizard???
For god's sake, i've been grinding and resetting for almost a full week and I haven't found a single one. According to my sources you can get them from either the dog creatures that throw rocks or the 2nd boss of Jade Way, but I've gotten zero results. Am I just stupidly unlucky or am I missing something?

Unlucky it seems, don't play lottery in this month :)
Unlock Boss Run for Jade Way to farm that in purpose.

Very very unlucky.
Yes you can get one from Gnolls rarely (the guys who throw rocks and do the fire punchs) as well as from the rat boss on jadeway more reliably (2nd boss).

I had the same problem but they DO drop it eventually.
It's the rare drop from gnolls.

FYI I've found that resetting sometimes uses the same RNG seed so you just end up with the same dungeon.

Its a bit more than 'sometimes' =-) Resetting is pointless unless you have game set to explicitly generate a new seed after reloading

Yeah, it's the boss and RNG. You should start doing dungeons right away if you want to get this and do entire dungeons, not just floors. Resetting is also an option.

If you don't reset, you may just not get it, which is a pain.
When you're clearing dungeons, you can go back and re-kill enemies. They don't respawn infinitely; there's a limit to them. So you can really "clear" a dungeon level if you take the time.

If you're playing Louie or Charme, the early dungeons should have dungeon levels that aren't so large to get you into will-o-wisp spawning time, even if you opt to clear the dungeon. (Later dungeons have larger dungeon levels.) If you're playing Caillou, he's a bit slower so you have to be a bit more careful about this.

But the thing is, to make enemies respawn, their spawn points have to be offscreen. Try to mildly prioritize killing gnolls, and then that'll give them the chance to respawn, which will give you more gnolls to grind for items.

Beat Jade Way, then do Boss Rush.

Slime King drops Slime Liver, Reginald Drisby drops Charred Lizard. Two items in one fell swoop!

You know where to get the Bat Wing you need.

Any obvious way to get fire crystals? The drop rate of this damn gem is ridiculously low which reminds me of SOJ in Diablo 2.
