it will come alive, just wait the game to be completed. Codemasters will likely shut down the servers of Grid2 and Grid:Autosport in near future and some portion of those people will come here. Of course, by the time they close those servers, this game will be a lot more better than current version.

The game has 75(!) ingame users at the same time in average, it's likely that most of them either idle some game time or they're playing the singleplayer carrer... So if you think of the multiplayer: yep, it's dead.

Just to compare, Grid Autosport has 50 users in avg, Grid 2 300(!) in avg.

Wouldn't be surprised if they'll shutdown Autosport soon... But I'm sure they'll shutdown the reboot before Grid 2 lol

I wonder how many customers Codemasters predict will buy their next game... Its quite a race to the bottom lol.

i have 2000 hours in Grid 2 game (not played it after 2017 though) and i know some people can NOT quit Grid 2 and its multiplayer lobbies. This shows that Codemasters have to add the remaining missing tracks and cars from that game (featured in Grid2 but not inside GRID reboot) before closing down Grid2 servers.

that is the dumbest thing CM could do :StunJacks:
that would be equivalent to shot gun themselves in the face !
Grid 2 no longer on sale, & then just leave Grid AS alive ? wtf you talking bout willis ? that's some Diff'rent Strokes there bud !

They kill any servers (grid 2/GAS) without adding "missing" content for grid 2019 is SUICIDE !

The Main Problem is that even if the Game is Fixed and i dont believe that this will happen, alone the Textures of that Game are so horrible, this Game is dead and Codemasters have a bad Reputation.

I dont think that anyone that Testet the Game (like me) will buy this Garbage. All is wrong with that Game. The Car Handling, The Engine Sounds, The Textures, The AI. The only good thing is that the Progression System is Interesting (Level Ups etc...).

I dont think that Codemaster can and or will Fix that mess of a Game ever...think about it, the actual status of the Game is pre Alpha maybe. I know Racing Games 10 jears older that looks and sounds better.

if CM leave this game as it is, then people will get EVEN MORE HESITANT to buy their next game (aside from F1 games). I hope they will turn it around but it was a bad idea to release the game in an unfinished state, then trying to turn the tables by fixing problems, by adding content in the long run. The thing is that young gamers nowadays is way way unpatient for that kind of a business mind to be successful LATER ON, months after its original release date. Wreckfest succeeded to turn the tables YEARS later but even that game had a superb Early Access beginning (which it took years to get the mojo back). But in GRID's case, it is more difficult but still not impossible. Gamers will only come here in the future IF they see there are some vehicles that can not be found in any modern game, some tracks that are very rare to be seen in any modern game, AND when they all combine to form one Career, it should offer several hours of gameplay. The 2003 game Mercedes-Benz World Racing and 2000's NFS: Porsche Unleashed are good examples of that. CM should get inspirations from them. Yes, some licenses are difficult to get but CM has Fernando Alonso as a joker card with them. Those some very difficult licenses may become available with FA's negotiations. It is just that the CEO of Codemasters should behave imaginative and have enough mettle. As the late Kirk Douglas says:

-“In order to achieve anything, you must be brave enough to fail.”

Normal i would agree, but even if CM get cool cars and tracks that changes nothing. The other Problems i mentioned are still their.

I can believe that CM can get better licences for sure, that needs no skills in Programming. But in the Past Games CM shows his lack in Programming a good AI.

The Next Problem is that i cant remember that i ever see a Game that changes complete his Visual Quality to much, maybe a bit like GAS Highres Textures DLC. This Game looks so ugly, change this is so expensive and time cosuming, i cant believe that CM will do that.

The next problem is that the game has been reduced by 50% and yet almost nobody is playing it. It makes the impression, especially with such an early price reduction, that CM no longer believes in its product.

It would be almost uneconomical to put too much effort into Patching this rubbish dump, as there are only a few customers playing and apparently no longer being bought large.

They will definitely release a few more patches. After all, you don't want to leave a bad impression, but don't expect them to turn the whole game upside down. But that would be necessary to save it.

Might be a little more lively if it told the user they need to go to the menu and click on READY. I just went through this and nowhere did it even suggest I needed to do this after joining, just went straight to Skirmish mode. For a few sessions I was just joining active sessions until I happened across this. Even after a round of racing s complete it loads directly to Skirmish mode again without having the user ready to race. It should load directly to the menu and say "CLICK ON READY" or something instructive before allowing driving around in circles waiting for something that will never happen.

Grid 2 relies on drifting corners way too much. It's fun for most people but not everyone.

that will be the insolentest and ignorantest thing at a Game-plattform, to shut down servers! when its true, i want my money back!!

One of the reasons why it seems dead is because the courses (not talking about circuits) lack strong SETTING. They lack different characteristics in between. For example, track with a setting resembling Lost Canyons of NFSIII and/or Celtic Ruins of NFS IV and/or Auvergne of NFS: Porsche 2000 will bring here a lot more people than "10 hypercars pack". Every racing game has some Formula 1 circuit already, give them something unique. There is a reason why millions of people still love earlier NFS games. Nearly all tracks were fantasy ones but never felt as overblown nor overdone, except the first two.

it's strange, I have this game for PC and PS4. While almost nothing is going on on the PC Version Online, PS4 Online is really going well. Just one example, today at 7:00 p.m. there was only one lobby with three players on the PC and more than ten on PS4 and I didn't count the players, but all of the lobby's were at least half full.
