Report a translation problem
Control Panels->Programs and features->Turn Windows features on or off->Legacy components->DirectPlay
Unless there is another problem/bug, it should fix it.
I did a bit of googling though and found this thread and at the bottom of the first page is a fix to make this work, something about the 1709 "Fall Creators Update" update that stopped this working as well as all Wndows updates since then (I was wondering why none were coming...).
Anyway, just in case anyone else has the same problem.
