Not entirely convinced it's all that and/or worth it, but there's nothing out there in the way of HD overhauls etc.
The only other (and unrelated) mod I've tried is a widescreen fix - https://www.patreon.com/posts/hidden-and-2-fix-13683645
It worked, I was playing in 3440 x 1440 but couldn't see the pre-mission movies playing (after the first) and had ugly aqua coloured vertical letterboxing in the options menus. Not a big deal and was probably my settings as other people over on GOG didn't have the same problems.
