How do you change the key bindings?

The game wont accept my keyboard inputs, only my mouse inputs. Any help?

Did you ever figure it out? I'm having the same issues but can't find a solution.

Same problem here. Game detects a joystick (not connected) and now I've lost all control with my failed attempts to alter the bindings .... shame. Such nostalgia, but apparently doomed to be unable to play it (again) ....
If anyone has a link to a (non-corrupted) controls.cfg, that would be good ... or even a general program to edit the .cfg file???

If anyone is still having the problem: The issue lies with USB devices being detected and overriding the keyboard. Disconnect ALL USB devices from the PC (even if they aren't plugged into the power unit!!).
When no USB cables were in my PC, then I could alter the key bindings no problem!
