Let me start off by saying this game has a lot of potential. It is a lot of fun. Unfortunately there are so many bugs in this game. The obvious ones are when you play the other two modes, (Infinite and Challenge), there are no graphics/artwork for the objects when placing them on the planet.
The campaign is good and challenging. You do have to wait a long time for the focus to return to your planet after it changes to the object approaching your planet (i.e., Asteroids, Comets, and other ships). The graphics weren't obvious enough for me to know what they were without constantly looking down at the items in queue (with the exception of the shields and the mountains). I guess if you play it enough you will get used to it. The RNG can definitely screw you over in a level. Had to play a level over and over just because of the RNG. I dont mind if i mess up, but when i can't defeat a level becuase i am not receiving the proper objects i dont find that fun (this is specifically for the comet levels). A little bit of balance is necessary.

If this game was free i would have no problem recommending it including the faults above, but because there is a price i expect a bit more quality. Hope this helps others. At the tiem of this review there was only 3 other reviews and they didnt offer too much feed back.

You have to balance your planet by putting new buildings into it.
Balancing is tough to get as its hard to get it right as there isn't a more accurate instrument to keep it rotating properly.
I like the idea and the concept but i find it though to manage.
I had to give it some tries to get the 2nd level right. And the 3rd level i still havent managed to complete after some tries.

Other than the bit hard difficulty, the game seems ok and plays well.

I like to play these kind of games when I need to take my mind off certain IRL things. If something bothers me I buy games where you don't really need to try to understand the plotline and just play, mindlessly. Although there are some levels in keeplanet that are a bit hard to beat, but it is fine. What is a game if it doesn't offer you a good challenge, right? If you have the same mindset as I do, I would recommend you to buy this game and click the heck out of it. :)

I’ve enjoyed it. The controls were a bit wonky and the tutorial was helpful but didn’t give me enough info. The campaign is a lot of fun but ramps up in difficulty very quickly. Its a good game for 99c but it does have its quirks, for one it doesn't explain how to get rid of ufos or meteoroids, had to figure that one very quickly. Otherwise besides a few quirks its fun and its art style is very cool.

Keeplanet seems like more of a tablet/mobile game than a full PC game. It's a low poly/simplistic art tower defense/physics puzzler hybrid where you need to "build" a planet by placing structures on the planet to defend against incoming threats, but you also need to make sure the planet isn't imbalanced, or it will stop spinning and it's game over.

The game isn't perfect and while it looks like a lot of effort went into it, I am not sure that effort was applied to proper gameplay testing. There's no real functional cues about the planet spin or how balancing works, so it's a frustrating experience, even though it's also central to the gameplay. The gameplay style here isn't really suited to PC gaming and doesn't seem to be aimed at the core PC gaming audience. Perhaps the developers would have better success with this on mobile. The price is certainly right, but I feel they could charge more for it if they fixed the problems with the game. Regardless, Valve asks: "Do you recommend this game?". As it is? I don't.
