BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle

Switch version or PC? (If you don't have a PS4, obviously.)
What do you guys think? I have a Switch and the beta did have quite a bit of people playing. On one hand I feel like buying a converter for my arcade stick and the game itself just to play it on the Switch is a bit too much, but on the other hand I fear that PC may not have many people playing it which is almost always the case with fighting games on PC. Yet for some reason I feel like the Switch version might slowly die out as well...

I would recommand PC. Playerbase is hard to judge now it can end up both smaller and bigger chances are the same.
However PC will likely receive mods. Also if you live in Europe it will be sooner here.

PC

Heard the Switch online was terrible. So if you value the online experience, go PC.

The internal resolution of the Switch version flucuates between 1080p & 720p during a match.

Oh yeah so many Wi-fi terrors I have forgoten.

Yeah alright then. Thanks for the replies, guys! I was honestly thinking of buying the PC version as well after playing it on the Switch. I too realized that online was garbage mostly because of how many people were definitely playing on wifi, myself included lol. I'll stick to PC this time as well, at least I've got a wired connection going here.

Damn... I think I do remember it looking very weird at times while playing it.

If it changes dynamicaly to kep FPS high they should allow players to force pernament 720p.
ANd if somebody will scream that its low resolution I wish to remind you that since first consoles to PS2 era all consoles worked on 4:3 screens with 440 P. So I dont know why is 720p considered evil in modern times.

PC.

Unless you go the extra mile on switch you'll be a wifi warrior yourself. If you plan to get it for single player then the switch has slightly longer load times compared to the PS4 version. So if MP is your jam, go for PC. If SP is what you're interested in, go for whatever.

The defense for the Switch port is thats more the handheld edition with the perk of a docked mode.

So, if portability is a big factor to you, quirky resolutions dont matter.

Yeah, nah. Only reason why I considered getting it on the Switch was because I recently purchased that console like last week (not for cross tag specifically). I've had a pretty good PC for a damn long time but the downside to it was that every fighting game I played, aside from SFV since it's cross-play, had a very low population which is what I really hated. I really don't care about portability since I'm used to an arcade stick and the Switch doesn't have USB ports on the go. So it simply came down to whether or not the player base was huge, but I gave it a good thought and I did just remember that playing online seemed god awful. Definitely getting this game on PC for sure.

I'm not sure about the the nintendo switch, since I don't own one. But i'm going with the PC version over the PS4 version, becasue the OG PS4 Wifi and PSN is crap. My PS+ is about to expire in a 2 months (might apply to the switch too. Dont know though), and I don't think im going to buy more time on it. I just hope the playerbase on PC doesn't die fast like dragonball fighter Z :/

Ehh, idk man. If I had a PS4 I think I would've purchased bbtag on it instantly. It is true that "console culture" involves more wifi players but there's really more opportunities to play with many people on launch and for the rest of the game's life essentially. PC's always a dice roll, but I do agree that it's far better than the Switch version now that I really think about it.

If you are buying for player population: Nintendo isnt known for fighting games.

Switch doesn't show connection quality like the ps4 and pressumably pc version. I'd avoid the switch version as a result.
