During Cross Combo you can switch point and assisst character, btw. You literally contrilling 2 characters in combo. I saw some crazy stuff in streams today with using this mecnhanic.
Have you considered that you just suck and can't do combos
I mean, if you think auto combos are the only combos in the game, then you clearly just suck far too badly to do any combos.
And by the way both of those use auto combo normals. Unless you can show me any magical combo that is efficient doesn't use 5A or 5B (auto combo hit 1) then by all means tell me. I'll be waiting for your response.
And by the way, I can hit confirm Hazama's astral from a 3C, if you truly think I suck or can't execute complicated things. I main Hazama so don't try that ♥♥♥♥ with me.
I kinda don't mind the slight auto comboing. But the fact that Hazama can do '5D' in the air over and over again in the same combo without the less hitstun when he's closer doesn't look right at all. I'm maining Hazama now since Continuum Shift because Tsubaki isn't in BBTAG, but this is very bad, autocombo or not.
Also, his 214D and 214B equivalents don't combo the same way as in CF/CPEX which really bugs me. If he or anyone else had combos that could be used with chaining the special motions, I would give the game more credit than saying that it's "mostly auto combo" (because let's be honest, it is).
Overall, I think FighterZ hit a decent (albeit imperfect, but still decent) spot when it came to balancing casual and competitive.
This game is VERY similar to Dragonball fighter z, which was highly praised, and I think wrongly so. I do also think this game is way more complicated and harder than dragonball fighter z
