While there is no traditional arcade mode, there are a bunch of other offline modes you might be interested in.

I haven't finished playing through the story mode yet, but I've spent maybe half an hour in it and I'm still in BlazeBlue section (Chapter 2). It's all voiced and you can choose between English or Japanese voices in the options. So for me, that's already extra replay value since I'm going to play it through in both languages. The Story also forces you to play as certain characters, but since it's a tag game, you have more options so you can play as your partner if you don't necessarily like the starter they give you, and it's neat to see all the different characters' perspectives as they're running into each other and fighting. It's great fanservice.

Another thing in the story mode is that you get dialogue choices every now and then too, so the characters will react differently or say something else depending on what you choose. I don't know the full extent of the dialogue choices and if they change who you fight or don't fight yet or how they affect the ending of the game, but it's really cool, and it's the first time I've seen a fighting game have something like this in one of its modes.

Instead of Arcade Mode, there's Survival. It's basically endless mode but I think depending on how well you fight during the match your health will regenerate after each match. So you just try to stay alive, but the CPU difficulty ramps up over time if I remember correctly.

There's also Versus Mode, so instead of fighting another player you can choose to fight the A.I. To make it more like a real arcade mode you can set shortcuts for you favorite characters so it makes it fast to choose them in character select, and then for the CPU side you can pick random. You can also adjust the CPU difficulty in the options. I like that the game automatically chooses your stages/music based on who gets picked but you can also set these to random or choose your own.

Then there's Tactics mode which has a beginner/intermediate/advanced type of tutorial, but they also have challenges and missions to complete here for every character if you want to learn combos or different techniques or just get to know your favorites. And they mark down which ones you completed with stars so it's like a new campaign, or a game within itself.

Another thing is that even though you play offline in Versus Mode against the CPU, it still gives you in-game currency per match, so you can use that money to buy new chibi avatars or customization items for your profile/characters. You don't have to go online or fight real players to earn currency which is great.

I was kind of worried myself because there's no real arcade mode, but this game has a lot of offline modes to dive into compared to some other games that do have an arcade mode. And you don't have to worry about fighting cheap overpowered bosses like in King of Fighters or Street Fighter, which is nice for scrubs like me, heh.

Edit: And yeah, for a RWBY fan, this game is awesome. They really did the characters justice with their expressiveness and animation. But they need to add my girl Cinder some time in the near future.

Well if you have friend it worth it. The story is short and endless mode........just endless.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thank you, Southpawper, your comment really helped me, i saw comments to other posts saying, "if you want arcade, go play older blazblue games" but the bigger reason i wanted to get this game, was for the RWBY and Persona characters (Good luck on Cinder, ill be here waiting for Penny XD).
And i saw they where putting Senran Kagura and adding more story mode with these characters, soo i feel its a good time to get into this game, thank you for your comments it really helped me alot!

I would also add that Training mode is also very good and if you like self-improvement you will spend hours there to train certain harder combos.

Edit: I did some checking and it would appear that Blazblue Tag is the best game with RWBY characters.
I'm fan enough to watch seasons when they are complete and I vote for Pyrah Nikos.
PS: This is Season 2 of BB:TAG. I wonder how many seasons will it take till we get male character from RWBY. Not like I cared much but rumor has to it that 10% of RWBY series population are males. XD
Ok sorry for that low level joke.
If they keep adding RWBY characters (and I bet they will) I have at least 5 top characters on my list which are females.

I play Dragon ball FighterZ, and when im not in the arcade, im in the Training mode, creating combos, its soo much fun creating a string of combos and seeing how much damage i can do to the enemy XD.
Glad to know i will be doing that on Blazblue Tag XD.
Yo! Pyrah would be soo cool!! with her shield and Spear and Rifle!!
i would love seeing Penny, or Nora, that jet hammer is soo freaking cool!!!
I also love the Musen Senran Kagura Games, im hoping to see my girl Homura and her 6 swords!! XD

Dam.... i would love to play Ramlethal in this game too...
But i saw an interview where they said something like "we wont be putting guildy gear characters cause we won't do justice to the characters" or something...
i only found this interview he did back in august 2017

https://www.eventhubs.com/news/2017/aug/08/no-guilty-gear-characters-joining-blazblue-cross-tag-battle-series-creator-says-only-four-franchises-be-represented-now/

no story is trash dont buy for SP its horrible i suggest getting better net
Snow Kuma Nov 30, 2019 @ 2:14pm
i live in a place far from the city, the only way to get a better net is to get a better house, and that won't be happening for a couple of years sadly Q.Q...
But even with Vol. 2 you think the story is that bad?
With Vol. 2 they continued the story with new characters and all that, which is rare, i would love if dragon ball fighterz did something like that -.-'

The singleplayer story is fine but the fact there's barely any replay value because there's nothing to do after beating story as endless gets repetitive since the AI are pretty easy to fight (even on the harder difficulty). Unless you have a locals/friends to practice/play BBTAG offline for then I'd suggest to wait until BBTAG goes on sale since I don't think the price is enough for story mode.

I bought the game, and true, the story has some replay value, since theres some multiple endigs.
And endless is though for me, yeasterday been testing a team with Yang and Makoto and got 16 win streaks, i feel thats low, but i had a blast XD!
to play with friends, sadly since most of us work, we can (with luck) get together once a month.
But since once a week i go to the city, ill take that time to play online and get my ass beat XD.
But right now im very happy with the game =)
Thank you for all your comments and opinions, i might close this Discussion later.
Thank you all for the comments!! it help me alot!
