BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle FAQ! [READ THIS!]
Table of Contents
  1. Bundles
  2. Unlockables
  3. Misc

"The collision is inevitable. The impact will be unavoidable." Welcome to BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, in where 4 franchises (BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth, RWBY) fight for the mysterious keystones to find a way back into their own worlds. 3 additional franchises (Arcana Heart, Senran Kagura, Akatsuki Blitzkampf) have since joined the fray.

1. Bundles
Prices will vary by regions. Sales will happen on BBTAG once in a while.

A. Basic Edition ($30), contains just the base game itself, no paid DLC, Blake/Yang included. Base roster of 22 characters.

B. Special Edition ($50), contains the game and all DLC so far (Char Packs 1-7 and colors 14-16) along with the 2.0 content pack (9 additional characters, colors 17-20, and Episode Extra). For a roster of 53 characters.

2. Unlockables
Here are the current set of unlockables from buying in the "Item Shop". All items can be unlocked with the in-game Platinum Dollar currency (you start with 20K, you earn P$ by playing various game modes, also, be on the lookout for Mr.Tartar in the Entrance as he'll give you a random amount of P$).

Music Track: "SYSTEM" is unlocked after clearing the "Ending 4" route in the Blazblue story in Episode mode.

Character Avatars: 25K P$ per character. (You start with Ragna by default.)

Colors 9-13: 10K P$ per character. (Colors 14-16 are DLC, however. Colors 17-20 are included in the 2.0 content pack.)

Icons: 500 P$ each.

Character plates and borders: 5K P$ each. (One for each franchise.)

Titles: Unlocked by satisfying various conditions. (Examples: Win/play with various teams, perform various actions, play certain amount of online matches.)

In order to use said unlockables after buying/earning, head out to "Customize" and assign them any way you wish.

3. Misc
What are the system requirements for the Steam Version?: While its mentioned already in the store page, here's the minimum down below...

-OS: Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10
-Processor: Intel Core i5 / i7
-Memory: 4 GB RAM
-Graphics: GeForce GTX 650 / Radeon R7 250 or better
-DirectX: Version 9.0c
-Network: Broadband Internet connection
-Storage: 20 GB available space (28 GB once version 2.0 update drops)
-Additional Notes: Requires a 16:9 resolution monitor for optimal performance.

Recommended (Not listed in store page)
-OS: Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10
-Processor: Intel Core i5 7500 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or better
-Memory: 4 GB RAM
-Graphics: GeForce GTX 750 TI / Radeon RX 560 or better
-DirectX: Version 9.0

Will there be a demo for the Steam Version?: Shini and ASW-U has said this plenty, but no, due to obvious reasons.

What languages will the game be in the Steam Version?: From mentioned in the store page, English, Japanese, Korean, and both Simplified/Traditional Chinese. Multi-5 (with Spanish/German/Italian/French) has since been added from a later update.

Is the game cross-play compatible?: While the game does have "cross" in its name, however, its not going to be cross-play compatible for all 3 systems. Shini has mentioned before that they would like to achieve this one day sometime in the future.

DLC Roundtable:
REMINDER: Blake and Yang are induced into your purchase of either the Basic/Deluxe/Special edition.

-Blake Belladonna
-Yang Xiao Long
-Character Pack 1 (Platinum, Kanji, Orie)
-Character Pack 2 (Jubei, Aegis, Carmine)
-Character Pack 3 (Hakumen, Naoto Shirogane, Vatista)
-Character Pack 4 (Izayoi, Mitsuru, Merkava)
-Character Pack 5 (Mai, Akihiko, Yuzuriha)
-Character Pack 6 (Nine, Labrys, Mika)
-Character Pack 7 (Naoto Kurogane, Teddie, Seth, Heart)
-Colors 14, 15, and 16. (Individually priced, universal colors for all characters.)
-2.0 Content Pack (Celica/Susanoo, Elizabeth/Adachi, Hilda, Neo Politan, Yumi, Akatsuki/Blitztank + Episode Extra + Colors 17-20)

DLC character packs are $5 each, but the complete DLC bundle of 24 (either getting the Deluxe edition or the DLC bundle) will cost $20 (Savings of $10 buying the packs separately.) Colors 14-16 are $3 individually (but included in Special Edition). Colors 17-20 however are included in the 2.0 content pack. The 2.0 content pack will cost $25.

Wired Vs Wireless (Wi-Fi)?: For best optimal performance and lagless matches in the online modes, use a wired connection, using wireless is somewhat frowned upon the FGC. However, your mileage may vary using Wi-Fi connections to fight.

If I have bought the Deluxe Edition or the DLC character bundle previously before version 2.0/SE, do I get the 2.0 content pack free?: Simply...No! That is sold seperately.

If there's anything that is needed to be added to this FAQ, let me know and I'll update the post, but at the moment, this seems to be mostly complete for now.

I think its a separate DLC download. Like certain game soundtracks on Steam.

That's a new. Oh well, we will know once they put the news here. (if they)

That's...not really new, you just buy them from the Store Page the same way you get DLC from the game itself, it will be both on your steam music player and also on the game's content folder.

Thanks. Considering that tweet is from two weeks ago I wonder why none of this info has been posted on the store page.

There are some people asking about crossplay.
Could you please be so kind to include that issue on the FAQ?
This is the answer Shini gave about it, for a reference:

@Kyuzo
I'll definitely add that, however, despite the game being "cross" tag, there is no cross-play in any of the game's versions for now.

Character volume pack 1 and Blake and Yang are free dlc for the first month, so technically the base game comes with 25 characters.

I know that, but I've already put in the info on the roundtable, cause there's no specific date for Yang, though considering she'll be out before EVO. I'm only putting in the confirmed dates, unless ASW or Shini mentions official dates elsewhere.

Does deluxe version include future dlc?

No. I'm 99% sure it doesnt. If there will be 41th character in the game you will have to buy this characer separately or in another bundle/with another season pass.
NeoStrayCat May 23, 2018 @ 10:03pm
Yeah, RvnCo, it will not include any future DLC, sorry about that, anyways, post updated with the limited time purchase bonuses, Deluxe edition clarifications, and languages that'll be included in the steam version.

Also, if anyone's wondering, the store page for the game has also been updated there about the Deluxe edition info and the purchase bonuses as well.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask. If my PC can run CF well in mid-low settings, can it run this game too?
