Should I get the game on PC or Switch?

What would be a better platform to buy the game on? I hate how these online multiplayer focused games don't support crossplay... I heard some bad things about the pc port but I'm also skeptical about the switch player population...

Get it on the Switch. The PC port is a mess right now and buying it at such a state would only tell
Arc System Works that it's okay to keep releasing shoddy PC ports. Maybe wait a month or two if you really want it on the PC; no guarantee it will get fixed though.

There's no arcade mode, and you're more likely to be playing over wifi on the Switch, so... neither?

I wouldn't go for the Switch in the first place. Playing a Fighter with a Console that only supports W-Lan is a bad idea.

Best thing is to get it on PC. If you're a bit worried because of the current problems, put it on your Wishlist and come back later.

I'm not blaming Shini; there's only so much that a single person can do.

Arc System Works should have hired a team for this, they should have done a proper beta test and fixed the issues before releasing the game. This isn't early access so it's inexcusable to have this many problems - especially since CentralFiction had many of the same problems as this - they should have learned their lesson from their past mistakes. Instead they release this port haphazardly and task one man to do all the cleanup - it's disappointing.

Yeah, not only bugs but there is so many features that where implemented in Centralfiction that are absent here (internal resolution scaling, hide keyboard inputs, 4k settings)

the ps4 version, i doubt many people will play this in switch (well at least a little more than in pc, the online will be dead in some weeks here)

On the Switch lobbies you can find around 200 players. And I had no problems finding reanked matches. I hope this keeps up.

Hi Shini, you should really consider in adding in Arcade Mode. I keep coming back in playing Blazblue Centralfiction, Persona 4 Arena, and Under Night In Birth EXE Late[ST] because of the Arcade Mode and VS Mode.

I don't think Shini's team could add something like that. They are working on the port of the game. They can't bring up something as heavy as an entire mode by themselves; that would be something up to Toshimichi Mori, the producer of the game.

The Switch only uses WiFi, wired connections are better for fighting games.

Nope; you can use a LAN cable. But you need an adaptor, which usually costs around 10 to 20 €/$.
